The Greek Community was established in 1911, incorporated in 1967
and is a registered non-profit charitable organization.
Although Greek immigrants have been here for over 100 years, their
great influx occurred from the early fifties to the mid-seventies and
resulted in a population of over 100,000 in the Greater Toronto Area.
The Greek Community is an organization that provides many programs
and services to its members and the community at large. Such services
include: programs for social integration, religious and social services,
services to the elderly, youth, women, education in the Greek
language, history and culture, sports and cultural activities. The
G.C.M.T. has an active membership of tens of thousands.
