Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis Former Katsimantis Factory, G. Papandreou 5, Str., Hermoupolis Organized from: Centre of Technical Culture - Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis On Friday 12 May 2000 the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Konstantinos Stefanopoulos inaugurates at Hermoupolis, Syros, the Centre of Technical Culture - Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis, with the exhibition "A Museum is Born". The exhibition is housed in the former Katsimantis Factory (G. Papandreou 5, Str.), and includes machines, appliances, tools and other objects of industrial equipment, as well as rich documentary material. The Centre of Technical Culture - Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis was created by the Municipality of Hermoupolis, the Ministry of Culture-Directorate of Folk Culture and the Centre of Neohellenic Studies of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.
